Welcome to Norskedalen

Norskedalen (which means the Norwegian Valley), is a nature and heritage center dedicated to preserving, interpreting and sharing the natural environment and cultural heritage of the area surrounding Coon Valley in southwest Wisconsin. Norskedalen has so much to offer in so many different ways, exploring the natural beauty, regional history and traditional cultural heritage of the region.

Whether you come to experience the natural beauty of the coulee region, the history of those who have lived here throughout time or the Norwegian heritage preserved in the buildings and artifacts, Norskedalen has something unique and very special to offer.


Admission

$6 per person 10 years and older | $3 per person 3-9 years old | $15 per household of 4

Hours of Operation

May – Oct
M-Sa: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Su: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nov – Apr
M-Sa: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Su: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All members and visitors are asked to check in at the Thrune Visitors’ Center before enjoying our grounds.
