RuthAnn Wilson

RuthAnn lives in Westby for nearly half of the year, where she is active in Sons of Norway, Coon Prairie Lutheran Church, and the Westby Area Historical Society. She spends winters in Washington state near her 3 grown daughters and their families, including 12 grandchildren. Her son David and his wife and son live in Washington, DC. 

Her hobbies and interests include reading, research, gardening, travel, writing, rosemaling, quilting, and genealogy. 

Prior to her retirement, RuthAnn taught pre-school through college in the public school system in Washington, Pennsylvania, and the International School Service in Africa. She also taught summer programs on 6 continents.  

RuthAnn has loved Norskedalen ever since her first visit in 1979. Since her retirement from teaching in 2001, she has been a tour guide at Norskedalen, and has served on various committees and projects at Norskedalen, including the Norwegian-American Heritage committee, the Museum Committee, the Barnehuset and Audio Tours projects. She has been a board member since 2006.
