Renee Moilien

Since 2003, my husband David and I have enjoyed Norskedalen as members and demonstrators.  Finishing a military career, we returned to renovate our 1860's log homestead and begin a draft-horse-powered hobby farm on our 120 acres in Timber Coulee.

I enjoy bringing skills of  ‘yesteryear', such as woodstove cookery, canning and lefse making to Norskedalen events. The old folks reminisce and the young ones try their hands at seeing how things were done before electricity! I love the connections and relationships these opportunities provide while utilizing the historic aspects of Norskedalen.

Currently I am employed at Westby Elementary in Special Education. I have a 1980 BA degree from UW - La Crosse  in Mass Communications and English.  I am originally from Evanston, Illinois.
