Rent Norskedalen for Your Event

Norskedalen could be the perfect place for your meeting, retreat, party, or special event!

Rent Our Shelter! Complete with sturdy picnic tables, the shelter can hold hundreds and seat at least 200 at a time. Roll down doors on the West and North protect against less than perfect weather. The shelter kitchen features three 8 foot serving windows, plenty of outlets, a freezer, microwave, local phone, counter space aplenty, and beverage cooler plus a stainless steel three sink area for clean-up. You can also use Norskedalen's beautifully groomed grounds during our general public open hours.

  • $425 for up to 100 people
  • $50 for every 100 additional people
  • 10% discount for rental any day other than Saturday
  • 10% member discount

Group Reservation of Grounds: Rent the use of Norskedalen's scenic grounds for your event. Perhaps you want to get married in the natural beauty of our arboretum or at the historic log homestead. Perhaps your group would like to enjoy a day-long event with picnic, hikes, yard games, etc.

Price is $100 base fee plus:

  • $50 for first 50 people
  • $75 for 51-100 people
  • $100 for over 100 people

Rent a Room! Norskedalen has 5 different rooms that you can rent separately or in combination. These are great places for meetings, business or organization retreats, training meetings, birthday parties, etc. With your rental, you can purchase access to grounds, trails and guided tour just $3 per person);  extra staffing fees apply outside regular business hours.

$100 Heritage Hall - Seats 70
$50 Paulsen Cabin - Seats up to 12 - full kitchen
$300 - Entire Thrune Visitors' Center (must be reserved 6 months in advance)

Tours/Group Admission

$5.50 per person for pre-reserved groups of more than 10

Note: Deposits necessary to hold your date
For an additional charge we can arrange/provide amenities such as:

  • Coffee, TV/VCR, Power Point projector, opaque projector
  • Garbage removal, providing electricity to either the arboretum or homestead
