The following testimonials have been left by guests of Norskedalen’s Paulsen Rental Cabin

“The Paulsen Cabin is the perfect location from which to explore neighboring towns, attractions and recreation areas during the day, and then return to the peace and serenity of your own cabin at night.  It is a place that, when the staff and visitors leave in the evening, a private world exists to explore, to stroll the grounds, to picnic by a spring-fed stream, to enjoy Norskedalen as the sun sets.  Then, to stroll back to the cabin with fireflies lighting the way.  This is truly a world unto itself.”

“We really enjoyed the quaint interior of the cabin, especially the ladder steps and loft.  It beckons memories of my family’s Norwegian heritage in this area, and reminds me of my visit to the home farm in Norway near Lillehamer.”

“Staying at an authentic cabin in the woods overnight was a special trip we planned with our grand-daughter. They have read the ‘House in the Little Woods’ series, so it was exciting to think of actually staying in a real cabin.”

“This cabin was warm and cozy on a cold night.  This is a wonderful place to stay”

“Quiet, peaceful, tranquil – a place to relax and enjoy and recharge.  A great place to ‘get away’.  My memory is a treasure of this special place.”

“Cozy, clean and comfortable.  It is so nicely arranged – it feels like a family cabin.  What beautiful timber walls!  I am so glad you have done this lovely restoration and have it available.”

“We were here to participate in one of Norskedalen’s weekend classes.  We found that we could stay in the cabin and we loved it.  The simplicity and cleanliness made us feel we could easily spend a week here (the modern bathroom is a real plus).  We loved the quiet solitude available here and look forward to our next time.”

“Words can not describe what a marvelous time we had at this cabin and at Norskedalen.  We hiked, snooped, enjoyed nature and wildlife, talked with staff…..a great escape from everyday life!”

“Today we visited the center, hiked on the trail and came back to the cabin.  I love this place. I would like to stay here forever.”  (from a 9 year old guest)

“We came to the cabin “burnt out” from a stressful and sorrowful season at home.  We found this peaceful place to be the respite we needed.  We loved the trails, the deer, the quiet nights and mornings, by the fire, and the historical enrichment of our heritage that was nurtured here.  What a lovely blend of learning and quiet.  This is just what we needed.  Thank you.”
